How much of your movement work is improvisation? What gives your body the most freedom?
In my work there is a big part of improvisation as I am very inspired through the elements that are exposed in front of me playing and use them to my advantage.
What gives me the most freedom is allowing myself to connect with the playfulness and let my body go.
Tell us about UNAVEZ and your movement philosophy?
I see dance as a way to show yourself to the outside, your way of moving is unique and inimitable, to trust your movement. I believe that from humility and work, the mover has to be brave and show with his body, the poetic way he has to see the world.
Starting from the base of my vision on movement and dance, this practice is all about exploring the personal identity of different bodies, empowering the own characteristics that make their movement unique. To be proud of our way of expressing ourselves without judgment or double thoughts, just being.
How important is sense of place—a connection to your physical location—in your work?
It is very important for me to feel in tune with the space. It is another element of the practice that has to help you feel comfortable. Dancing is the combination of space and time so feeling that you are in the right space is indispensable.

How do you want to feel in your clothes?
I like to feel elegant as well as comfortable while still chic.
How does your personal style speak to that?
I love to combine pieces with good materials that are very nice and comfortable like linen or cotton in a neutral way and then always add some accessories like rings, earrings, bags that make me feel special completing the look - easy, elegant and comfortable.
What brings you joy in the present and what beauty is on the horizon?
There are many things I am grateful for and focused on at the moment. The last two years have been unstable with a lot to process and a lot of movement, but this year I feel like it's all coming into balance and I'm becoming more and more aware of how I want my life to be. Living on a beautiful island where I can grow on a different level, developing my UNAVEZ project and being surrounded by a lot of love is what I have in the present. On the horizon, I can see more of that coming. I can't wait for it to happen.
